♥ warning: image heavy ♥
2024 was a rough year overall. I didn't take many pics from my outfits and somedays I couldn't ever bother to dress up nice for attending classes. Anyway, here is a selection of pics with a rundown of what I'm wearing.
January

That january was a proper summertime month. I spent it mostly in my town, at the shores of the Uruguay river. My boyfriend came and I gave him a taste of my part time slacker activities: drinking and smoking in the streets, in the squares, in the beach, hanging out with my bestie, hanging out with whoever my bestie hangs. Nothing thrilling like a night in Buenos Aires with $$$, but C, coming from such a busy and insecure place compared with my hicktown, was delighted.
- Outfit 1: We (with my boyfriend) were drinking some vodka thing and I think smoking weed? in the main square.
- I left my hair loose, wore pink eyeshadow and minimal eyeliner + tinted lip balm.
- Coincidentally, all that I'm wearing was thrifted or found in 2021. I layered that cute angel top (remember Nicole Dollanganger's aesthetic and all that sadbabydoll tumblr thing?) with a John L. Cook short dress that my aunt left roting in my grandma's house. For the cut I suspect is from like, the early 00s? It's that dress I always pair with jeans. To this mix of pastels I added a lilac handbag by Prune, a shopping brand from my country that of course I thrifted por pennies.
- Outfit 2:That pic was taken at dawn, after a night of drinking and smoking with my bf, my bestie and some other people.
- I'm wearing mostly hand-me-downs. Went for a comfy tomboy look. C gave me that cool long sleeves shirt from AYNOTDEAD, a fav brand of ours. I love how it imitates football shirts and of course the New Order logo. The shorts are gifts by C too, I don't remember the brand, but the print is kinda cyber. Very comfy too. That orange plastic chain is another hand-me-down by C, it's brand Kostume, an indie one from BA. It's kinda garish so I don't find a lot of moments to wear it.
- The handbag is not that visible, but it's one of my most used ones, as I love the edge of its black angular form, how it fits almost neatly my uni stationary. Part of my collection of hand-me-downs from my bestie grandma, Carmen.
- Then I'm wearing platform sneakers that yeah, are thrifted too, and very beat down but I'm not keen on the idea of giving them up yet.
- Outfit 3:This is more like a styling shot than an outfit. That summer I tried hard to vibe with indie sleaze (I practically grew up with it and I'm happy with it's comeback) but here technically I'm not wearing it, maybe living it.
March

Could you believe that I don't remember (or at least at this moment) what I did that month? I guess that fit was for going to uni.
April

My life revolves around "la facu". From the moment my parents knew I was a girl, it was decided that my quest in life is a diploma from at least a bachelor's degree. April is not only welcomed for the autumn, but for the routine of assisting to classes too. I started that year with a lot of ambition and energy for another succesful year that didn't happened.
- Outfit 1:Coming home from college featuring my silly beloved cat.
- My hair was messy thanks to humidity. I got really into that style of glasses and after 10 years ditched my Morrissey ones for these.
- Like nearly always, I'm wearing thifted. Me, into retro fashion and owning only one pussybow blouse? yeah, I know, but I love it and I wore it a lot last year. Matches nicely with my glasses. I like wearing colour when I feel alright and purple + red looks neat.
- Outfit 2:Some night drinking cheap wine with my bestie.
- Again with my hair all messy and simple make up.
- That leather jacket has a lot of stories on it, I thrifted it waaay back in 2018 and is one of my fav pieces. Don't know what to wear? just grab anything and add the leather jacket. The cat purse is from an indie brand, toy pop, and bought it back in 2015, still in perfect shape! I used to wore it more often. Then the copper skirt is another hand-me-down from Carmen, she was a very stylish grandma ♥.
- Outfit 3: Cute outfit for attending classes. Went for a j-fashion inspired but toned down vibe.
- The sax shirt is part of Carmen's collection. Very summery and comfy. The skirt I'm wearing is the same as in outfit 1, thrifted in 2023 I think? Oh, and the legwarmers were the sleeves of an old and thin pullover.
July

July means winter recess. And in my winter recesses I usually travel to the navel of Argentina (Buenos Aires) and study for my mid term tests. I pick this outfit from a really nice batch of photos that I must publish one day.
My hair is waaaay shorter. I cut it in a whim after watching Paris, Texas with my boyfriend. Sometimes hair is like shredding skin, and cutting it is leaving behind a lot of emotional baggage and closing the connections with the world around you and its energy. It will grown stronger along with your spiritual self.
Here I’m wearing my bf’s sweater, from an indie argie brand, Bowen. It’s sooo 80s, like something a yuppie would have worn. I paired it with more gothic elements, like the velvet asymmetric skirt and knee boots. My makeup isn’t too visible, but I aimed to a 90s goth vibe, although still modern. The digital camera case is part of the outfit, of course.
The nerdy goth vibe is perfect, 10/10 would repeat.
August

- Outfit 1: Another styling shot. I was drinking bear with my bestie.
- Something about having short hair is that you have to style it more. Short can be easy, but could get boring really fast, or if your hair is a rebel mess, you will need to style it. Chunks of hair framing my face + tiny braids + the rest pulled behind my ears was one of my to-go hairstyles.
- Then makeup… I was and I am trying to left behind eyeliner in favour of working more with shadows. Then wine/bordeaux lipsticks have me in a choke-hold.
- Clothes! I’m rocking that shirt + t-shirt layering. This time with an edgy Cannibal Corpse one. I used to listen it when I was a teen, so my little me must feel really cool.
- Outfit 2: Ma’am core/Señora pituca core.
- Another fit for uni. I spent $0 in that outfit. I went for preppy with grandma clothes and the result was señora hahaha. Another 10/10 would repeat.
- The skirt, the coat and the shoes are at least from the 80s, judging by their confection and materials (wool and real leather). My bestie gifted me the sunglasses, the bag, the skirt, the scarf and the turtleneck, all thrifted. The camel coat is from my grandma, and the shoes probably thrifted too, I don’t remember.
- I styled my hair in a half-bun (so 2015/2016 ik) and from my make up went really classic with red lipstick and soft brownish eyeshadows.
- Outfit 3: The DKNY blazer!
- What is a meh brand up there in the global north, here is a gem, and it cost me only $13 usd in my local currency. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it posted on the stories of a thrift store I follow. I asked for more photos so I could see the tags better, went to internet to search more about the DKNY petite label, compared tags, and even found the same blazer for $40 usd bucks. So, a red tartan blazer and from DKNY? I bought it immediately after my research. So I went from collecting DKNY in Stardoll to having a real one in my closet.
- It pairs nicely with my punky tartan skirt, a gift from a chick who I used to hang on with. That day I picked up the Carmen’s black bag and ballerinas for comfy but elegance points.
- Outfit 4:My birthday. If my year was gloomy, my birthday had to be different and I had a great time with my boyfriend, my bestie and my cat ladies club!
- I was inspired by 80s/90s japanese magazines that featured MILK, Jane Marple and VW. This lovely suit was thrifted too. I love the funky colours! I must wear it more often. My blouse is handmade by my grandma and from the 70s. Is full of details, like pintucks in the front that end in a V shape adorned with cotton lace, a big broderié rounded flat collar finished with cotton lace and pearl buttons.
- For such an outfit I had to wear my beloved mary janes from Koturno, and spice it with DIY legwarmers. Originally I was going to wear a black alice bow but I get embarrassed by being stared a lot. I took out my grandma jewellery, such outfit needs accessories matching the vibe.
September

I wanted to recreate one of the Gucci Resort 2025 looks with things in my wardrobe and it ended like this. The waist was supposed to be lower, but the 80s don’t leave me haha. Even my bestie told me that I looked like a yuppie lol.
My jeans are from Carmen, they have a cute flower embroidery that sometimes looks off in certain outfits but I could never take them away. Again, wearing Carmen’s black bag. Aside from the jean’s waist, I tried to copy the silhouette but not the colours. So I wore flats too, but black to match the bag and the AYnot belt (cool gift by my boyfriend!). I have only one pussybow blouse so I used it and that bright purple is so far away from the original offwhite in the Gucci look. Next I needed a blazer, and since I had the cute flowers in my jeans, the bright blouse, why not more colour and textures? So I pick up the DKNY blazer.
I love the outcome! And since the shot was kinda messy I made a fun edit.
October

The Among My Swan skirt. I call that skirt like that because a weird connection I made with the colours and the 90s vibe of the skirt with that album of Mazzy Star. It’s one of my fav pieces, I found it in old stored clothes in my grandma’s house years ago. Here I paired it with the best band shirt featuring Anesthesia by Fun People. A birthday gift from my bestie. Knee boots and a childhood cardigan gave it the clashing between soft and edgy that I love since the Nicole Dollanganger Tumblr Sadbbydoll Kinderwhore days. A key point here is the headband: I want to wear more head accessories. They put the sweet, the goth or the preppy needed. The colour scheme with whites and that lonely blue is like a swan swimming in the deep waters of a nightsky.
December

Holidays, vacations, recess. I usually spent them at my boyfriend’s.
- Outfit 1: I enjoyed The War of the Rohirrim!
- Here I went more romantic that in my October outfit, and like always I spent $0 (not counting the shoes). So, my goal is to use more accessories. Here I wore mismatched earrings, a necklace which I DIY’d with a random cameo that I had laying around and the white handband which I don’t remember where I got it.
- And more layering! I love using that black lace top (gift from my daddy, like my dad, not ddlg lol) with t-shirts and blouses. Makes everything more interesting. And that t-shirt was another of my DIY’d: I took a children long sleeve t-shirt that fit me like a baby tee and crop the sleeves and the neckline. Then the skirt. What a treasure. Not gonna lie, I found it in a box in the street (raccoon time!!!), took it home and washed it like ten times. Probably is from a dead grandma. I really dig the pattern, from the colour scheme to the art deco? angular design.
- Outfit 2: Galerías Pacífico is an obligatory spot for Christmas season. We took a lot of photos with my bf.
- Here I’m rocking the micro shorts trend and at the same time nodding at indie sleaze. Again, spent like 0 in that outfit. For my indie sleaze touches I pick that big bag, Ray-Ban like sunglasses with hints of animal print, and animal print flats (gift from my mother in law), all signatures from the 07-09 era. I’m wearing the DIY’d t-shirt too. My accessories are pearls and mismatched earrings.
